ACT/SAT scores can play a crucial role in college admissions, though standards vary by institution. For many selective colleges, an ACT score of 34 is considered a competitive benchmark. While a lower score doesn’t automatically disqualify applicants, it may impact their competitiveness for certain programs. In a test-optional environment, students may choose to submit scores if they believe it strengthens their application, giving admissions officers additional insights to assess their academic potential.
