Do Some Demographics Need Higher Test Scores?

We all know that the business of college is becoming ever more expensive—and competitive. Some campuses, in this case in California, enforce to one extent or another demographic requirements for their students. Ultimately, some argue, this means some students of a particular race or background will be excluded in favor of other less qualified students (at least on paper). So in terms of testing, the less demanded demographic may require higher test scores in order to compete.
